First Junking Day of 2015

I don't know about all of you, but I finally figured out where I left off before the rush of the holidays.  My regular routine (whatever that was) has slowly found its way back into my days and now I'm anxious to get this new year off to a good start.  It's been a few months since I had time to get over to the Alameda Point Antiques Faire for a good day of junking, so when the weather forecast looked promising on Sunday, out I went.  Between shopping, visiting with friends, eating, and drooling over things I want, but don't need, it's always fun to take pictures along the way.  Let's take a look around.....

rusty vintage metal storage drawers
I could sure stuff a lot of stuff in here and still have room for more stuff!

drive in movie speakers
Remember these?

1960s dining room chairs
What can I say?

large rocking horse
This over sized rocking horse got my vote for Largest of Show.  Last time it was an enormous head, and the time before that it was a gigantic missile.  They grow them big out here!

Vintage Perfection oil can
I loved the graphics on this giant oil can.

vintage toy truck
This was my favorite thing I didn't buy.  So darn cute, but way too expensive for something not on my focus list.

I always do some picking here at Fun Junk.

vintage colorful faucet handles
Vintage hardware heaven in Albie's booth S01.
vintage hardware

vintage door knobs

Atelier De Campagne
Atelier De Campagne always has one of the best looking spaces!

Raise your hand if you like these vintage metal glove molds.

vintage display using old doors
Love those doors and some of the pretty vignettes in this booth.

50% off.  My kind of sale!

large vintage cleaners sign
This very cool CLEANERS sign doesn't look big in the picture, but it had to be at least 6 feet long.

Just because it made me laugh out loud...and they had some pretty cool stuff.  Old Fart Art.

Laugh Out Loud LOL sign

vintage foosball table
Foosball anyone?

Vintage jeweled Christmas tree
Just in case you need a little more vintage Christmas inspiration.

What did I buy?  I behaved myself and only bought what would fit in my shopping cart without having to reload.  I'll show you what was inside my cart just as soon as I have a chance to get some pictures.  Happy treasure hunting!

Oooooh, I'd have a field day there! So let me ask you: that first photo of the metal drawers - I have a larger version and I'm trying to figure out how to clean it up and make it a little more pretty. Any thoughts?????

Like Michelle, I'm wondering what that metal thing is...Thought I had seen it all, but apparently not! It was fun following along with you on your junking trip. Brought back memories of junking in California...it's just not the same in Alabama. Also, thank you for introducing me to the new part over at Bella Rosa Antiques. I joined in on the fun and can't wait for more!

I made a trip in the minus degree weather today to the local VOA. They had 30% off + my 20% off senior discount. Will be doing a post soon on my treasures!

You sure know how to start the year off right...junkin', junkin', and more junkin'! It too me a moment to remember what "those" were and then the lightbulb when off and I got a huge smile on my face. Drive in theater speakers. I haven't seen those around in ages!

Oh My...be still my heart!! I see some awesome pieces that would be great to use in jewelry making.
I have to wait until May until we have any outdoor flea markets. We have 6 inches of snow on the ground and a wind chill of -17 right now! Now I'm going to go back and drool over all your great photos.
