Double Duty Loaf Pans

I finally had a chance to try out my new Silhouette Cameo that I got for Christmas. My idea was to start with something quick and simple, but there was nothing quick about this first attempt. I'm sure a seasoned user would be able to whip up this project in 15 minutes, but for me it was a four hour trial and error adventure.
The four hours included familiarizing myself with the basics by quickly reading over the directions.  I spent a lot of time playing with the software, sizing the fonts, and then trying to figure out why it wouldn't load the black adhesive vinyl.  Oops, I missed the part about locking the rollers back in place.

I have so many ideas floating around in my head, but will stick to the smaller projects until I get the hang of this.  So much fun!

We all need a little extra space for storing junk.

These rusty loaf pans I bought at a flea market a
couple of weeks ago were perfect candidates for my first project.

They're still rusty, but now they have a little more character.

My buttons are happy.

I haven't decided if I'll keep them or sell them, but for now I like them right where they are.  Hopefully my next little project will only take two hours.

    The loaf pans are perfect!!! I'm glad to hear about the Silhouette. I've been tempted to buy one but haven't taken the plunge....I'm anxious to see what else you do with it. Great job!!!

    At the antique fair I saw commerical bread pans, you know the ones that are all linked together. I would have loved to have brought them home with me but I have absolutely nowhere to put them!

    They really do work well! Something else to look for....and I'm pretty sure I got rid of old loaf pans years ago! Never again! Love all of your supplies...especially those keys! ♥

    This is new territory for me so I googled the Cameo Silhouette to see what it does (besides adding charm to vintage bread pans!) and now I'm wondering if you bought it for specific purpose or just for fun? (looking for some justification in case I need it) Love all the gizmos poking out of pans too. :-) -amy

    LOVE AT FIRST SIGHT! Wish I knew how you are doing that! Of course, you won't catch me doing it unless it's peel and stick! Or spray paint! Keep those babies!

    very cute!!
    I have an expressions machine and same thing, took me so long to figure out, and then I forgot how by the next time I used it.
    So, my advice, even tho' you did not ask for it, is to do it regularly so you do not have to figure it out all over again. =)

    I just got an email from my local sewing center. They are demoing this machine. Think they just got it in. I may have to go check it out.

    Do you think it is the type of thing you will use? I have a tendency to buy every new gadget I see and then many sit on the shelf.
